Plains Indians & Pioneers Museum

Woodward's Plains Indians and Pioneers Museum is one place you really should see while in the Woodward area. Ranked as one of the top five small museums in the nation, our Museum was name "The Best Local History Museum in the State" by the Oklahoma Historical Society in 1993. Don't be fooled by the modern exterior. When you step through the front door, you will be transported back in time as  if you had stepped into a time machine.

The murals in the entry, by Paul Laune, capture the essence of the rich "Old West History" of Northwest Oklahoma. The beauty and excitement of a by-gone era will stimulate the imagination of young and old alike. The museum also has an Agricultural Exposition Hall and hosts a monthly art show.

Located on Hwy 270 South in Woodward across the
street from the Woodward Post Office and Rotary Park.
