Dear Northwest Passage Contestant, 

   We are a fairly new pageant that was organized in 2000, called Miss Northwest Passage Scholarship Pageant. 
This  is a preliminary to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. We are proud to be a member of the Miss Oklahoma 
and  the Miss America organizations. Last year, we were proud to award over $4900.00 in scholarships and 
money  to our contestants.

   The pageant will be held  October 5, 2002, 7:30 PM at the Woodward Arts Theatre located at 9th and Main Street in Downtown Woodward, Oklahoma. Boundaries for the contestants are North of I-40 and West of  I-35 including Oklahoma County.

   Applications for ages 0 to 17 are due by May 24, 2002. Applications for ages 17 thru 24 are due by  September 21, 2002. Orientation will be held on June 6, 2002 for 0-17 and on September 26, 2001 
for 17 -24  at Northwest Electric, 2925 Williams Avenue, Woodward, Oklahoma. This is mandatory because you will have Miss Northwest Passage and Miss Oklahoma contracts to read and sign, discuss the show and the order of competition as well as provide class schedule information for scheduling interviews. Parents are welcome to attend the orientation. You must bring talent tapes to the orientation that can be left for our sound person to have time to prepare before pageant day. Minimum props are allowed (Miss Oklahoma Rule). You will find a printable application. You must have your application completed and postmarked by May 24, 2002 and September 21, 2001. We are looking forward  to working with you as you prepare for the Miss Northwest Passage Scholarship Pageant.
